Cinemotography

In chapter five cinematography is discussed.  Cinematography is capturing the moving image. While capturing images, science must be involved. The photographer has to have the scientific knowledge of how light reflects off the lived environment and how that light will react to various light-sensitive media. The person that does this is the director of photography. They have tube able to translate the directors vision into real footage. This is art. There are so many people and ideas that go on behind the scenes that does not get talked about as much. This chapter was designed to explain many of the jobs that go on behind a film. I thought it was fascinating to learn about what goes into making films, and not just the actors work. Usually when watching a film I don't think about all the details, but now I know that the jobs that go on to make this film really can make or break films.
